Overview

A look at the challenges, contrasts, and points of convergence faced by an executive who is also a poet, in balancing the rigor demanded by daily life in large corporations with the typical musings of poetry. The talk shows that, although antagonistic, it is possible to reconcile the two roles.

Speaker's background

Jacinto Fabio Corrêa, 57, was born in Rio de Janeiro and holds degrees in Journalism and Advertising. For more than 30 years he has held executive roles in communication, marketing, and planning at major Brazilian companies, including Senac Nacional, Petrobras, Vale, Shell, and Souza Cruz, among others, and has also worked with NGOs such as Abia and Iser. Jacinto is the author of 13 books, including Fatário and Silenciário, one poetry DVD and one poetry CD, and edited the book Marketing: a teoria na prática.
