Speaker's background
Fabio believes the human body has the power to heal itself, and that the role of the Physiotherapist/Osteopath is simply to promote the adjustments needed for that self-healing to occur. Once adjusted, the body needs to be given the necessary time. He uses this concept to guide his therapeutic interventions. Born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Fabio da Graça Bocchetti earned his degree in Physiotherapy from Universidade Estácio de Sá in 2004. He went on to complete a two-and-a-half-year postgraduate program in Acupuncture at the Colégio Brasileiro de Acupuntura and a six-year postgraduate program in Osteopathy at the Escuela de Osteopatía de Madrid, along with training in Osteopathic Posturology, Imaging for Osteopaths, the Mulligan Concept, and more. Over the past 13 years, Fabio has treated many patients and clients with musculoskeletal disorders, postural imbalances, and other conditions not limited to this system, such as insomnia, migraines, gastroesophageal reflux, and vertigo, working with amateur and professional athletes as well as the elderly population. He is a member of the National Manual Osteopathy Society (Canada) and Director of the British Columbia Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (BCAOMP). Fabio currently practices as an Osteopath in Vancouver, Canada.
