Speaker's background

A lawyer, journalist, and specialist in marketing management and integrated communication, he has always had a keen interest in project management, an area in which he trained and coordinated numerous projects both nationally and internationally. The fields of bioenergy, family farming, and social and environmental development – particularly those focused on empowering people – have always drawn his attention, leading him to develop an integrated view linking results with social inclusion. He currently coordinates, through Instituto Brasil (an organization he founded in 2003 and once presided over), a segment of the Rio Rural Program, and in this capacity is developing a portal for sustainable projects and business that serves as a meeting point between family farmers and the market. His worldview is grounded in the idea that progress comes through dialogue and cooperative attitudes, a vision he seeks to share with his work teams and with project beneficiaries.
